Aaron Gamewell, SBS CyberSecurity Chairman and CEO, was nominated for an EmBe Tribute to Women award. He is nominated in the EmBeliever category, which recognizes a man, woman, or business that demonstrates the mission of EmBe to enrich the community by empowering women and families.
EmBe is an organization based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota that strives to empower women and families to enrich lives. The Tribute to Women is the longest-standing award honoring the achievements of women in the region.
“Tribute uniquely celebrates the work people do to empower our community. Since its founding by Sylvia Henkin in the 1970s, more than 328 people have been honored by their peers. It is a perfect time to honor the work of women as our community comes together to fight the coronavirus pandemic,” said Anne Rieck McFarland, EmBe interim CEO.
This year's ceremony honors 50 women and men who have been recognized by their peers for their outstanding achievements. There are nine categories represented at the ceremony: Banking and Finance, Business Achievement, Community Service, Government and Law, Health Care and STEM, Humanities and Education, Sylvia Henkin Mentoring Award, Young Woman of Achievement, and EmBeliever. This year’s awards ceremony will be held virtually in a Facebook Live broadcast at 7 p.m. May 19. Click here for event details.
