FAQ

How is using this tool different than the annual external phishing assessment?

KnowBe4 is meant to be a training and development tool to raise awareness of phishing attacks. An annual phishing assessment conducted by an independent security expert is a much more accurate and effective gauge of readiness.
Will this count as an independent audit? No. As KnowBe4 is administered by the organization, it is not considered to be a part of an independent audit. This solution is meant to be an anti-phishing and security awareness training and development tool.
Does this tie into TRAC

No. We are resellers of the KnowBe4 product and it is in no way related to our TRAC program.
How do I educate people who fail?

It is important to remember that this is a training and development tool. Employees who fail the phishing tests will be provided with training videos and financial institutions can choose to more regularly simulate phishing attacks against repeat “clickers” as a further training method.
Is my financial data safe and secure?

KnowBe4 uses industry best practices, and partners with top firms (including Amazon Web Services), to ensure the security of sensitive data. Credit card data is not stored on KnowBe4 servers and is only used to verify billing information. KnowBe4 has been PCI compliant from day one. Further, your company information is not shared with third parties. Review the KnowBe4 Privacy Policy for more information.
I’m concerned about the email addresses that I would give you. Are they safe?

For customers of KnowBe4, the Ongoing Phishing Security Tests will need to contain current email addresses so that we can periodically send simulated phishing attacks to the correct individuals. This will also be used so that you can track which of your users are failing the tests. The addresses will not be used for any purpose other than the security audit, nor will the addresses be given/sold to any third-parties for any purposes. You can archive any email address at any time.
