Madison, S.D. (April 1, 2024) - SBS CyberSecurity (SBS), a leading security consulting firm, recently announced Dr. José-Marie Griffiths, President of Dakota State University, as the Friend of SBS Award recipient. The award recognizes an individual or organization whose support, dedication, and collaboration have significantly contributed to the success and growth of SBS.

Dakota State University is an NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, Research, and Cyber Operations. It is a special focus STEM university with an emphasis in computing information technologies and cybersecurity. The DSU website reads, “Since coming to Dakota State University in 2015, President Griffiths has led DSU into transformational growth and advancement, a time of rising in almost every endeavor in which the university is involved.”
Dakota State University has had a technology-focused mission for 40 years, but recent milestones Dr. Griffiths has led included adding advanced degrees in Artificial Intelligence, the creation of the state-funded Center for Quantum Information Science and Technology, and the expansion of the Applied Research Lab.
