Christy Thomas

Christy Thomas is the Consulting Manager at SBS CyberSecurity (SBS). Christy maintains her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, as well as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), and Certified Banking Security Manager (CBSM) certifications. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southeast Missouri State University. Christy has more than 18 years of risk management and operations experience in the financial services industry, holding a variety of roles that include Information Security Officer, Internal Auditor, Bank Secrecy Act Officer, IT Auditor, and Auditor Manager. Christy joined the SBS team in 2017 and transitioned into senior management as Audit Manager in 2022 before moving into the role of Consulting Manager in 2025. Christy is passionate about helping organizations improve their overall information security program by suggesting enhancements to policies, procedures, and risk assessments, as well as coordinating a plan to resolve findings and recommendations.
