{Webinar} FBI Warns of "Imminent Threat" to US ATMs

SBS Presenter: Chad Knutson

Description: The FBI has recently released an alert regarding “Unlimited Operation” attacks increasing against U.S. financial institutions. Since 2016 these types of attacks have cost the U.S. 2.5 million in losses by leveraging stolen card data against an institution whose ATM systems have been compromised. The settings on these systems are altered to bypass the safety controls that limit cash withdrawals. Join us in the webinar to learn more about the heightened threat of this attack and how to mitigate the risks to your institution. “Unlimited Operation” shouldn’t be confused with the growing number of ATM Jackpotting Attacks which the U.S. Secret Service warned about earlier in 2018. Updates on Jackpotting will also be addressed in this webinar; with a review on best practices and security controls.

This webinar will address:

  • Details from recent FBI Warning
  • Anatomy of Unlimited Operations
  • Secret Service Warning on ATM Jackpotting
  • Anatomy of Jackpotting
  • Best practice security controls for both threats
  • Additional resources on security
  • Access to Complementary ATM Toolkit

Who should attend? Information Security Officer, IT Manager, Risk Officer, Internal Auditor, and Executives looking to understand the ATM Cybersecurity Risks

Presented in partnership with GSB.
