MADISON, S.D., Dec. 22, 2023 — SBS CyberSecurity has announced that CEO Honey Shelton will transition to the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) effective January 1, 2024. As CSO, Shelton will continue to provide valuable insight into the company's growth, serve as a board member, and lead key projects.
Shelton was introduced to the company in 2016 as a contracted leadership trainer and coach. In 2020, she became a full-time member of the SBS leadership team to guide the company through a change in ownership.
"I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished at SBS. We have built a strong team of experts who deliver high-quality cybersecurity solutions to our clients across various industries. I am confident that Chad and Jon will continue to lead the company to new heights of success and innovation. I’m excited to continue to support those initiatives," Shelton said.
Chad Knutson, co-founder and current President, will take over as CEO.
"Honey has been a great mentor and leader who has helped shape the company's culture, values, and strategy. I look forward to working with her, Jon, and the rest of the team to further enhance our culture and grow the company," Knutson said.
Additionally, Jon Waldman, co-founder and current Chief People Officer, will transition to President.
